Top Three Trends for Summer Concerts

Hi, Style Park 68 family. I had a chance to attend the "Roots Picnic" in Philly this past weekend. It is a great 2-day festival with live entertainment, food, and vendors. Jay-Z and Erykah Badu were the headliners. While I was there, I checked out the fashion people were wearing. The fashion ranged from jeans and a tee to long dresses with flat sandals. Three styles seemed to be the most popular. One trend I noticed was boots. I didn't expect to see boots in May. Quite a few women were wearing them - cowboy boots, knee-high boots, and leather boots. The second stylish trend was the mini skirt. Did you know the name "mini skirt" was made popular by a British designer named Mary Quant who named the skirt after her favorite car, the Mini. The ladies of all ages and sizes were sporting mini skirts that were pleated, ruffled, denim, and faux leather. The biggest style trend I saw at the festival was camouflage. Camouflage was everywhere. People were wearing camouflage coats, jackets, pants, and skirts. Even the men were wearing camouflage. So, as you head to your next concert or summer event, you have an idea of what's "hot" this season. Enjoy!
